I'm Jo-Ann Elicia West
A biologist by training, naturalist by inclination, with a lifelong love of plants
Originally from Trinidad & Tobago, I studied and then worked for many years on the East Coast of America before moving to France in 2013. My goal is to share my professional skills while expanding my cultural knowledge base and meeting new people in my second adopted country.
My work experiences have been in the journal publishing, medical education, and pharmaceutical fields with a focus on editorial direction, content development, and policy compliance. Those experiences have been with companies such as Quintiles, Elsevier, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Sanofi Pasteur, and Boehringer Ingelheim.
In my personal life...
I am passionate about travelling, organic gardening, salsa dancing, yoga, Pilates and the Vancouver Canucks.
In order to give back, I have served as an acolyte in my home church, taught marine biology to disadvantaged secondary school students, and worked as an organic gardener for food banks in my local area.
To continue serving my global community, I offer special rates to clients from countries with limited resources.
